If Thine Eye Be Single

This is one of the strange things that started happening to me years before I turned my life around. Now I don't remember the exact circumstances and even if I did I probably wouldn't go there, but I started seeing 11:34 on my alarm clock. There is a twist though. I saw it while I was laying down and it read upside down. I remember how clearly it came in the first time I saw it. I was taken by surprise how such a seemingly innocuous thing could have such an impact. Can you see what it says upside down? It spells hell. Man, did that rattle around in me for years after I saw it and kept seeing it. You can imagine how a prodigal son seeing this as a sign quite often might feel. It was quite confusing.

The pattern of recognition was set up and I would see it more than I felt comfortable with, let's put it that way. A decade must have passed seeing this regularly. I gave in to the idea. I honestly just figured based on my past it was my lot and I was ok with that. Obviously not preferred but I had no idea what was going on here so it was my own little hell anyway. Not knowing who we are really is hell.

OK, but let's fast forward. Confusion persisted, life consistently became harder to except as it was. I was not religious. I had grown up in the Catholic Church. I knew nothing. But when I hit my low point as the prodigal son, I say that because I was wreckless, I turned on the radio and heard Joel Osteen giving a sermon. Now. I know what you might be thinking but it makes perfect sense to me now. When the Word is needed it will find it's way and make an impact and it did.

I will fast forward again through the beginning of my seeking. You can imagine I went from listening to Joel Osteen to reading the King James Bible for hours daily. The ball started rolling and has never stopped picking up speed. It wasn't too long before I ran head first into Luke 11:34. "The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light." Can you imagine? I was blown away. I guarantee I wept like a baby. I say that because I cried nearly every day for a year at how I betrayed Christ for the first 40 years of my life.

One more time though. Let's fast forward to the Now. I did not understand what that verse meant for years but I was dead set on figuring it out. I had an idea as my Ajna Center between my eyes back then started to vibrate but I didn't know. It is a very esoteric verse. In order to know what it means you would likely have to have some previous experience and knowledge of the third eye and what all that means. Today my entire life revolves around this verse in a round about way. If we are seeking to fulfill our own gospel and mission of our soul we will be working towards this and not just for ourselves but so we can also help others gain the understanding through experience as well.

I could write on this for hours but I will leave it here for now. You can't make this stuff up. These divine interventions are too precious. Wait unit I tell you about why and how I ened up reading the Pistis Sophia. Till Then.
